The launch was attended by 200 people; table sponsors included XLRe, BCWA, MorganAsh, Munich Re, BUPA, Hannover Re, Watson Wyatt and Scottish Re.

The after dinner speaker was Richard Verdin, the sales and marketing director from Direct Life & Pension Services.

The Protection Review Personality of the Year Award was won by Tom Baigrie of Lifesearch and was presented to him by Penny Perrott, the widow of last year’s winner, Chris Perrott.
